Ghana is observing a three-day national mourning period following a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of two ministers, Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah and Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, along with six other officials. A state funeral is scheduled for August 15.

During this period of national mourning, flags will fly at half-mast, and all entertainment events have been suspended. The government has urged Ghanaians to refrain from sharing graphic content related to the crash.

Tributes have been pouring in for the victims, with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, former President John Dramani Mahama, and other dignitaries paying their respects. The Council of State has also mourned the victims, describing their deaths as a national tragedy
