NPP Presidential Primaries: Ken Agyapong Picks No. 1 Spot; Bawumia Takes No. 3

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has successfully completed the balloting process to determine the order in which its presidential candidates will appear on the ballot for the upcoming January 31, 2026, presidential primary.

 

According to a statement signed by William Yamoah, Secretary of the Presidential Elections Committee, the exercise was conducted in collaboration with officials from the Electoral Commission of Ghana.

 

The order of candidates on the ballot is as follows:

 

1. Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong

2. Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong

3. H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia

4. Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum

5. Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong

 

The Committee expressed appreciation to all presidential hopefuls, their representatives, and the Electoral Commission for their cooperation. It reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, fairness, and the highest democratic standards in the conduct of the party’s presidential primary.
