Residents of Parambo Sawaba have long endured the hardships of seeking medical care, including lengthy journeys and exorbitant costs. However, their struggles have been alleviated with the commissioning of a modern 12-unit health centre by Dr. Kwabena Donkor, former MP for Pru East. Strategically located in the heart of Parambo Sawaba, the facility is equipped with essential amenities, including consulting rooms, a maternity ward, a dispensary, laboratories, and offices for medical staff.

During the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Donkor eloquently articulated his motivation, emphasizing that “healthcare is not a privilege, but a fundamental right of every citizen.” He further underscored that the project aimed to provide quality care to the community, particularly mothers, fathers, and children.

The District Health Director, Mr. Ahmed Ramshia, expressed his enthusiasm, assuring that the centre would be fully staffed and operational in the near future.

For many residents, the new facility signifies a major breakthrough, eliminating the need for emergency trips to distant hospitals and reducing delays in treatment. Ultimately, it embodies hope, relief, and a new beginning for the community.
