Fire Tender Involved in Accident During Fire Outbreak at Buipe, Crew Rushed to Hospital

A distressing incident unfolded in Buipe, Savannah Region, when a fire tender from the Central Gonja District of the Ghana National Fire Service was involved in an accident while responding to a fire outbreak. The fire crew was en route to attend to a blaze at a fuel joint when the tender somersaulted mere meters from the scene. The accident left residents in a state of helplessness as they watched the fire rage on.

 

Residents, supported by Emergency Medical Technicians, sprang into action, rescuing the fire officers on board the vehicle. The five crew members, who sustained injuries, were promptly rushed to the Buipe District Government Hospital for medical attention. The fire tender has been taken out of service pending a thorough assessment, and investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.
