The Ghanaian government has announced a nationwide public holiday on Friday, January 9, 2026, in commemoration of Constitution Day. In a statement released by the Ministry of the Interior, it was disclosed that President John Dramani Mahama has exercised his executive powers to reschedule the observance from its original date of Wednesday, January 7. This decision aims to facilitate broader national participation in the celebrations.
