During his recent media tour for his latest single, “Mr Osei”, on Hitz FM’s Day Break Hitz show, UK-based Ghanaian highlife artist OheneMuzik made a candid revelation regarding music video production in the UK.

When queried about the music video for his new song, OheneMuzik disclosed that, regrettably, he hadn’t shot one, attributing this to the complexities and challenges inherent in producing music videos in the UK.

According to OheneMuzik, the primary obstacle lies in the hectic schedules of professionals in the industry, which renders it arduous to secure the services of a video director. He cited an instance where he and his brother were compelled to undertake a solo video project themselves, including editing, due to the unavailability of a suitable director.

Furthermore, when preparing for his performance at the GMA UK, OheneMuzik encountered difficulties in securing dancers, as they were all preoccupied with prior commitments, ultimately resulting in his solo performance.

It’s not a matter of financial constraints,” OheneMuzik emphasized, “but rather one of conflicting schedules.” Consequently, all his music videos have been filmed in Ghana, and he took the opportunity to commend the Ghanaian video directors for their exceptional work.
