Police Arrest 4, Seize Drugs and Illegal Gaming Machines in Paga Operation

The Upper East Regional Police Command has successfully carried out a targeted operation in Paga, arresting four individuals and confiscating illicit substances and gaming equipment. The suspects, identified as Kofi Boateng, Eric Owusu, Godwin Agosa, and Abdul Aziz Bukari, were apprehended at various locations along the Paga border.

 

According to the police, the operation aimed to dismantle criminal hideouts and curb suspected drug peddling activities in the area. During the exercise, officers seized several items, including jackpot gaming machines, suspected Indian hemp, mobile phones, and other paraphernalia.

 

The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations. The Police Command has assured that those found guilty will face the full consequences of the law. This operation underscores the police’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the region and their determination to tackle illicit activities.

 

The Ghana Police Service urges residents to continue cooperating with them to ensure the safety and security of the community.
