Ghanaian hiplife artiste Okomfour Kwadee is urging the youth to ditch substance abuse and opt for physical exercise to boost their energy instead. He believes that engaging in substance abuse will have negative impacts on future life. Kwadee made this call during the Willing Way Recovery and Rehabilitation Street campaign against red abuse.

The campaign aims to educate the public on the dangers of illicit drugs and encourage young people to make healthier choices. According to the CEO of Willing Way Recovery and Rehabilitation Center, Lydia Manu, a collaborative national effort is needed to fight against substance abuse. The Ashanti Regional Mental Health Coordinator, Faustina Nuako, has also noted that substance abuse among the youth in the region is a growing concern.

The theme of the 2025 Ghana Against Red Abuse campaign is “Red means stop! Say no to Red”. Okomfour Kwadee’s message is clear: physical exercise is a better way to boost energy than substance abuse.
