The National Service Scheme (NSS) has announced that graduates assigned to the commerce sector, including the Ministry of Trade and Industry and its allied agencies, will officially begin their service postings on November 1, 2025.

In a statement signed by the Director-General of the NSS, Ruth Dela Seddoh, the Secretariat said the deployment forms part of a nationwide exercise to strengthen key sectors of the economy while giving graduates practical exposure.

According to the NSS, personnel posted to commerce will support areas such as trade facilitation, business development, policy research, and administration, contributing directly to Ghana’s economic growth.

Madam Seddoh explained that the Scheme, which deploys over 100,000 graduates annually, remains committed to its mandate under Act 426 of 1980 to build manpower, promote national development, and instill civic responsibility in young graduates.

All personnel are advised to log on to the NSS portal to confirm their placements and report promptly to their designated institutions with the necessary documents,” she emphasized.

The Secretariat noted that the November 1 postings will provide service personnel an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, expand professional networks, and play an active role in Ghana’s trade and industrial advancement.
