Manchester United have officially confirmed that midfielder Casemiro will depart from the club at the end of the current season, upon the expiration of his contract. The Brazilian international, who joined the Red Devils from Real Madrid in a £70 million deal in 2022, has been an integral part of the team, making 146 appearances and scoring 21 goals.

During his tenure, Casemiro played a pivotal role in Manchester United’s success, helping the team secure the 2023 Carabao Cup and the 2024 FA Cup. Despite facing some criticism and challenges, including comments from new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe about certain players being “not good enough” and “overpaid,” Casemiro has maintained his commitment to the club.

In a heartfelt statement, Casemiro expressed his gratitude and loyalty to Manchester United, saying, “I will carry Manchester United with me throughout my entire life.” He emphasized that it’s not time to say goodbye, as there are still many memories to be created in the next four months. Casemiro remains focused on giving his all to help the club succeed, stating, “My complete focus will, as always, remain on giving my everything to help our club to succeed.” A special farewell is planned for Casemiro at the final home game of the season against Nottingham Forest.

As Casemiro prepares to leave Old Trafford, fans and teammates alike are paying tribute to his dedication and contributions to the team. His legacy at Manchester United will be remembered for his tireless work ethic, leadership, and clutch performances.
